Congress worried about Modi appreciated in State Assembly

Congress versus Narendra Modi is taking a bizarre turn every time the PM is praised anywhere in the world. Leaving no stone unturned to blame PM Modi for the growing intolerance in the country, Congress is hell bent on slowing down the juggernaut that he seems to be riding on. The Hindi News Online took notice of how opposition is uncomfortable with Modi’s growing popularity, especially when the Bihar Election results are yet to be announced.

Recently, Modi was congratulated in the Madhya Pradesh Legilstaive Assembly for his dramatic entry into the Forbes list of World’s most powerful persons in the world. When the whole assembly, dominated by BJP leaders, congratulated the PM for his achievement, the Congress raised question on the need to praise him.

Why Modi was congratulated in MP Assembly-

Narendra Modi is the PM of the country and belongs to the same party that rules in Madhya Pradesh. As per the recently announced list by Forbes, he ranked 9th in the list of Most powerful Political leaders in the World. He ranked 15th last year in the same list.

The political news in Hindi was buzzing with this latest development of Modi’s comparison with global leaders in 2015. MP Kailash Vijayvarigya announced in the Assembly that “Modi is the crowning glory in the country of 1.25 billion people.” It is an achievement for every Indian and Modi is the leader of the country. When Congress raised questioned the need to congratulate him in the Assembly, the House Speaker said that it is the tradition of the House. The Speaker said, “There is no violation of any rule. We only congratulated the PM of the country!” What could be bizarre than this where Opposition fails to acknowledge the authentic list released by a prominent business-political journal.

Why congress is quoting it as squalid propaganda-

Congress is evidently disappointed with the international development and the kind of attention showered on Modi. The last PM from Congress, Manmouah Singh was hardly an international figure to reckon with. More so, he had a rather sordid tenure in the UPA II, tarnished by corruption charges, sycophancy and poor economic strategy.  Modi has done a good job so far as a PM.

Congress MP Bala Bachan raised eyebrows in the Assembly and asked on what grounds is Modi praised in the house! It is certain that the Congress thinks that the BJP is resorting to cheap publicity ahead of the Bihar poll results to influence voters. Political experts say there is nothing wrong with the appreciation on the floor of a State house.

Brushing shoulder with the Powerful-

He is sharing prominence with leading names in the world. In the 2015 Forbes list, Russian President Vladimir Putin is Number One followed by German Chancellor, Angela Merkel. US President slipped a spot behind to end the year at Number 3. Biggies like Chinese Premier XI Jinping and UK Prime Minister James Cameron also lost significant places in the list. Pope Francis is 4th while Bill Gates is ranked at 6th. It is a remarkable list to share names with. PM Modi is definitely in the right list!

SRK stirs controversy with is “Intolerance” comment; security beefed up

Bollywood Badshaah stirred a political controversy on his birthday. This is definitely the week’s fiery Bollywood news in Hindi. SRK remarked how “extreme intolerance” in the country is a stigma that fellow countrymen are not happy with. His political secular comment did not go down well with the BJP and the Sangh Parivar, who immediately labelled SRK as a “pariah”. Amidst ignited emotions and flaring comments coming from political corners, the Mumbai Police has beefed up security outside his home- Mannat.

The Bollywood fraternity has always been a divided segment when it comes to supporting or raising concerns over the political intolerance in the country. Be it the banning of the Pakistani artists from entering Mumbai or letting them perform in concerts in India, Bollywood news in Hindi are rife with such debates. In the wake of the latest development regarding SRK’s comments and the retaliation from BJP’s state leaders, the Deputy Commissioner of the Mumbai Police, Satya Narayan Chaudhury briefed the media. “We have increased the security of the actor and it will continue till further orders”, he said. Vehicular check posts have been erected on all roads leading to Mannat, through Band Stand and Sea Link. Two police vans and satellite bikes are doing round-up trips since the Bollywood news in Hindi featured the comments.

Who said what against SRK?

Retorting to SRK’s “intolerance” remark, BJP’s volatile leader from Indore, Kailash Vijayvargiya, triggered a chain reaction of comments when he posted a rather controversial tweet on SRK. He tweeted that SRK’s “soul” lies in Pakistan, but lives in India.

BJP MP Yogi Adityanath and VHP leader, Sadhvi Prachi went a step ahead and tagged SRK alongside India’s most wanted terrorist from Pakistan, Hafiz Saeed. Haifz Saeed is wanted for his role in master-minding the 26/11 Mumbai attack. He also advised King Khan to leave the country and make his residence in Pakistan. Baba Ramdev also advised SRK to return money to PM’s Relief Fund to prove his loyalty to the country.

The party later disapproved the comments made by the two BJP MPs. They backed SRK as an honest and law abiding citizen of country. It is worth noting that SRK is one of the top tax payers in the industry. He can’t be placed in the same league as some as notorious and merciless as Hafiz.

Support for SRK flows in

The biggest support for SRK against BJP’s fury came from the same party members themselves. Their ally in Maharashtra government, Shiv Sena openly supported SRK’s remark on growing intolerance in the country. Bollywood News Hindi featured last month how Shiv Sena supporters threw ink on an event organizer for backing Pakistani Ghazal singer, Ghulam Ali’s concert in Mumbai and then book launch of former Pakistani minister.

SRK himself seemed surprised and remarked that his comments stand justified following the controversy it has stirred in the political scenario. He enlightened the press how his father participated in the freedom movement and how his grandparents have served the Indian government at significant roles.

Sanjay Raut, Nalin Kohli, Digvijaya Singh and Salman Khan all stood by SRK on social media sites.

India versus Pakistan: Peace suffers, Hatred Prospers

The recent ink attack on Sudheendra Kulkarni by alleged Hindutva fringe elements in Mumbai caused a furore across all the Hindi News online channels. The smearing of ink on Kulkarni is not an off event. There have been consistent attempt by certain political parties who are against any bilateral talks and cultural exchange between India and Pakistan. The single condition for continuing the talks and exchanges: Stop cross-border terrorism and crack down the outfits ho promote hatred against India. The events that came under the burner of such attacks were book launch events, sports events and theatre shows.

Is India getting intolerant?

Almost 90 per cent of the attacks on Indian soil are sponsored by agencies based out of Pakistan. Though the country’s regime continues to deny its role, its POK sponsored activities no longer cut the mark. Indian forces have begun to answer every bullet fired from the border. But this is not the way civilians are supposed to be treated. Sudheendra Kulkarni’s face was smeared as he was supporting the event of Pak’s ex-foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri’s book launch in Mumbai. Just a few days ahead of this attack, Ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali’s performance was cancelled following warning by Shiv Sena leader, Aditya Thackeray.

BJP Veteran not pleased with the developments

http://www.nayaindia.com/
BJP top brass may be silent over the growing intolerance among the political allies on Pakistan’s attempt to revive the bilateral talks but former boss, L K Advani condemned such intolerance. He openly declared that any such action, by any organization is condemnable and punishable as per the penal code of India. Moreover, the attacks are not on Pakistan nationals but on fellow compatriots who support peace movement and want bilateral talks to continue.

Bone of contention: Continued attacks and Kashmir issues

With Pakistan failing to curb the cross-border infiltration in Kashmir and Punjab, Indian political parties associated with Hindutva ideologies consider it insensible to entertain any thought of mutual talks. Unless the firing and terrorism stops, Indian peace mission is not possible. Moreover, Pakistan PM Nawaz Shareef tried to raise the Kashmir issue on the international scene. Hindi News Online was abuzz with the desperation shown by the Pakistani PM to poke foreign agenda of Kashmir against India’s reservation.

Peace has no chance, at least for now

Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri could be upset about the unfortunate incident that caught his book launch event on the wrong foot. Well, he himself has been on the firing line making ‘discriminatory’ comments on India’s policy in the past. Especially when, the 26/11 attack sponsored by Pakistan occurred! For now, the hockey events and cricket tournaments between the countries seem to be a distant thought. The ICC T20 World cup will be organized in the country.

Anticipating the same fiery approach by Shiv Sena and other parties against Pakistan, it seems that the national team will remain uninvited for any future engagement. Live Hindi News online recently posted how Pakistani singers, actors and journalists will continue to work from off-shore units.

Are our politicians truly qualified to meet the strict need and responsibilities of their portfolio?

The Karnataka government is indeed sensible to challenge the high court in Ms. Jayalalitha’s verdict.  Her acquittal in disproportionate assets case.  During the search conducted in this case a few years back, police personnel, team has witnessed the moveable property, news was flashed all over the country, media too was the witness.  How can we deny this fact?  And on what terms did the high court acquit her?  The move by the government to move the supreme court in this regard is appreciable.  Its a wake-up call for our politicians that it’s “no more tolerance” by us.  These days we see more of this “Lalit Modi” link.  Our leaders are very much interested in linking as many as possible involved. And the duty of the government?

To order an investigation.  The SIT (Special Investigation Team) has been set up to probe this multiple issue.  When it comes to ministers being part of it, then it has to be handled like any other common man(accused).  In fact, the action taken against them has to be more stringent.  Being people’s representative, they should be 1st to abide by the law.  Lawmakers can’t take it light and be “lawbreakers”.  And a permanent ban has to be imposed on these tainted Mantris.

Such imposters should not be allowed to contest during next tenure.  A step towards clean politics is appreciated.  The opposition parties will be very happy because the ruling leaders are under scanner (Lalit Leaks).  Only solace the government gives the public is to demand resignation from Ms. Sushma Swaraj.  Every job draws a line with regards like education, experience, age eligibility.  Why not in the case of the contesting politicians?  How long will our politics be filled with tarnished images?  On 22nd this month we’ve seen a minister who was involved in “fake degree certificate”.  And now we have Ms. Smriti Irani.  From the time her portfolio was given her, news has been doing the rounds expressing the doubts of her qualification.  Today’s news we have a gentleman, a freelance writer Mr. Ahmer Khan raising questions about her degree.  Is it not mandatory for our government to check their eligibility before giving a prominent portfolio?  Know whether a certain minister is qualified enough or not?  She has given different details on her educational qualifications..How can this happen?  Is she joking with our constitution? Under section 125A of the Representation of the People Act, She is liable to be penalised.

On moral grounds, will our dear Ms. Sushma Swaraj resign or Ms. Smriti Irani?  Already, we have enough problems to solve.  Is it necessary for these ministers to add to our existing owes?  Other than leaving a bad example, what sort of legacy are our ministers leaving behind for our next generation leaders?  To follow in their shadows?  Can’t we leave behind a longing desire, a clean politics for them.  Where the educated lot won’t dread to hear this words “politics’’ and “politicians”..lets think about it.

WILL THERE BE ANY MEANINGFUL AND SENSIBLE CHANGE IN INDIAN POLITICS?

There was a time when people strongly believed that “Democracy means Government for the people, by the people and of the people”. But our dear politicians have changed the entire meaning of Democracy. It would be accurate and apt if it’s called as a dictator government although a democratic country. Even though our country got its freedom from British rule, but our nation will never be free from corrupted politicians and bureaucrats. No department works without bribe. So much are the people used to giving bribe that the prominent persons who work in government departments have slots and accurate amount to complete certain work or to move the file from one desk to the other.

The entire system is corrupted. Even if it takes a revolution, yet this parasite called “corruption and corrupted politicians” won’t be eradicated completely. Time and again so many sting operations were made against such politicians. Hardly anyone was banned from entering the parliament. It’s a pity. Even if all evidence which were procured proved right against them, these politicians would get the best of treatment in the jail if convicted. And the worst part is although knowing what sort of lot are the candidates contesting and campaigning, yet like people follow the same person and give the reins of our government for the next tenure. And keep blaming the government for not fulfilling their promises. How can they when they are busy going places and abroad for treatment at the cost of our taxes? And the worst part is yet to come. Any accident, incident, natural calamity occurs, the politicians are first to attend and represent for their attendance. Enchasing the situation for their vote banks. One such pathetic incident is when there was this Uttarakhand disaster in the year 2013 June. Here the son of a certain party president was not available and the relief materials didn’t reach the affected area and people because he couldn’t make it up and it had to wait until his arrived to distribute to the survivors.

Kudos to such politicians. Look at the gimmick these politicians play. Each party brought back the stranded people of their particular area and constituency. Was it not a nation’s natural calamity? Which party has done a feed back or went to see how the survivors are living or has any solid and valid alternative measures being taken. So much tourism money keeps pouring into such places. Yet it is shocking and pathetic that humanity has been far forgotten. Every day we view the ongoing parliament sessions. Most of our leaders behave like street fighters. Uncivilized and using abusive or undignified language. Not taking into consideration that they share the parliament sessions along with women colleagues.

The arguments are always heated when a certain grave incident occurs in the country. But can’t precautionary measures taken before hand? Why wait until some precious lives lost or property loss? Will some sensible politicians think about this? One thing seems a little squeaky. The mightier, powerful, financially sound has become the eligibility to enter politics. The sickening part is if the head of a state is convicted in some case and sent to jail, the wife who knows nothing about politics, RULES THE PARTY AND STATE.WILL THERE BE ANY MEANINGFUL AND SENSIBLE CHANGE IN OUR POLITICS?
